Albert Wahl Hawkes assumed chairmanship of the Congoleum-Nairn, Inc. corporation board in 1937, was president and director of the United States Chamber of Commerce during 1941 and 1942, and served as a U.S. Senator for New Jersey from 1943 to 1949.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, few micro-fine scratches, few small spots of oxide to larger winding wheel; excellent dial with fine scratch left of center; fine hands, minute with some mild bends at tip; case bezel snaps off very easily and tends to inadvertently come off at times including frequently when rear of case is opened, case shows little wear, dent to band at 4 which is fairly mild visually but is causing a bit of front/rear ripple to band shape and is likely contributing to the issue of case bezel coming off very easily, good engraving detail; bow pivots semi-freely, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
ESTIMATE: $1300 - $1700
